Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center hosting events on July 2

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center is holding some events, including one where you can learn how beneficial and healthy native plants are.

“And in order to have healthy wildlife, we need to have a healthy habitat,” said Jamie Koehler with the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. “So I’m all about talking to people about native plants. How beneficial they are. How to grow them. How to incorporate them into your property, your garden, your landscape. And then the connection between those plants and wildlife out there.”

Saturday, July 2, the Nature Center is hosting several events.

  • Make it Green Clean – 9:30-11 a.m.
    • Attendees will be able to use plants to make household cleaners.
