Milford Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Meth Charge

A Milford man has pleaded guilty to a federal meth charge. 46-year-old Justin Haubrich entered the plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Sioux City.

Haubrich admitted being involved in a conspiracy that distributed at least five pounds of methamphetamine supplied by sources in Denison and Council Bluffs. During a traffic stop in January, 2019, Haubrich was found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun and was known to keep and store guns during drug trafficking activities.

Sentencing is pending completion of a pre-sentence report. Haubrich faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years’ in prison with a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, along with a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release following any imprisonment.

The case was investigated by the Palo Alto and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Offices, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Okoboji Police Department, and the Iowa DCI laboratory.
