Active COVID-19 cases increase

Active cases of COVID-19 have increased in the state, according to the weekly report provided by the state Department of Health.  As of Wednesday, there were just more than 31-hundred active COVID-19 cases.  The state reported two additional COVID-19 deaths as well, bringing the overall total to 2938 since the start of the pandemic.  Fifty-three people were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Wednesday.  

Lake County reported twelve active cases of the virus and moderate community spread in the state’s weekly report.  All other area counties reported high community spread of the virus, with the highest number of active cases reported in Brookings County, where there were 106 as of yesterday.
