A Town of Freetown woman allegedly stole electronics from a store, then attempted to pawn them off, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

At 10:50 a.m. this past Monday, county sheriff’s officers assisted City of Cortland Police with an investigation at the Pawn Boss on Main Street.

It was found that Desirrae Brame, 24, stole electronics from the Walmart in the Town of Cortlandville and attempted to sell them at the Pawn Boss.

Brame was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Class-A Misdemeanor. According to Capt. Chad Burhans, the electronics that Brame stole were potentially worth under $1,000.

Burhans noted he was unsure how it was known that the electronics were stolen.

Brame was released on appearance tickets. She is set to appear in Cortlandville court at 1 p.m. July 11.
