Court docs: Woman facing child endangerment charges after children padlocked inside apartment
A woman has been arrested and is facing multiple charges of child endangerment after a caseworker observed children padlocked inside an apartment.According to court documents, the caseworker was making an unannounced home visit and saw the padlock on the outside of the door and heard children inside of the apartment.Documents allege the caseworker knocked on the door and the noises stopped. A second knock, officials say, led the kids to asking who was at the door.Officials say when the caseworker said they were from Children's Services and asked if the mother was home, no response was given.At that time, documents say, the caseworker called their supervisor and police.Nicole Jones, 29, is facing two charges of child endangerment.
