ROSEVILLE — Dakota Davis offers meals from his Foodoodz food stand at at 195 North Main Street in Roseville.

Davis bought his food stand in March of 2018.

"I've always loved to cook and my dream was to open a restaurant, but I found a food stand is more my style as I love being outdoors and with a food stand you're not stuck in one place," Davis explained.

How did he come up with the name, Foodoodz?

"It took a long time to find a name to choose. I went back and forth between some different names and Foodoodz just popped in my head one day and I knew that was the perfect name for my stand," he said.

The food stand is currently open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, the plan is to eventually be open more days throughout the week with fair prices to match the delicious food.

"I try to keep prices fair in these hard times people are going through and look forward to serving people amazing food at a good price. I want to expand and go to more places and eventually have multiple trucks to serve everyone the food they deserve when going out to eat," Davis said.

"I feel like a lot of times people go eat and are disappointed in the food they receive and/or the price they pay, Davis said. "My goal is to put a smile on every single one of my customer's faces."

The main seller on the food truck right now is the fresh, hickory smoked pulled pork with the option of a sandwich or nachos for $7. Other menu items include loaded beef nachos, Philly steak sandwiches, tacos (three pack), taco in a bag, nachos with cheese, chips, and beverages such as soda and water.

Davis lives in Little York. He enjoys cooking and outdoor activities with his fiancée, Keisha Jones, and their two children, Mesiah and Aries.
