Police are investigating after a man who was found shot inside a vehicle at a Miami Beach intersection early Thursday died, officials said.
Officers responded to the scene near 14th Street and Collins Avenue just after 3 a.m. after receiving a 911 call of a possible shooting, Miami Beach Police officials said.
The officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound inside a car that had crashed into a nearby pole.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.

The shooter was followed by police before later escaping in the city of Miami in a dark, four-door vehicle.
Preliminary investigation into the shooting suggests it was a targeted incident, officials said.
