The Kennett Fire Department is conducting a grain bin safety class on August 19. The classroom session is from 8 a.m. to noon at First United Methodist Church. A hands-on demonstration is from 1 to 4 p.m.
The class is designed for farmers and anyone else who works around grand bins. It will give them an idea of what they can do if someone has an accident before rescue personnel gets to the scene.
There’s no cost for the course, but it is limited to 120 for the morning classroom session and 60 for the afternoon hand-on demonstration.
