A three-vehicle crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Jefferson County. State Patrol Sergeant Kevin Kinderman says the crash was around mile marker 270 Westbound on I-94. Kinderman says a distracted driver who admitted to looking at their phone, looked down at their phone, looked back up when traffic was slowing and could not stop in time. Kinderman says the distracted driver crashed into the back of another vehicle, and his vehicle in turn rolled. He says there was a third vehicle that had damage which authorities believe was debris from the original crash. Authorities say only one person was transported by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
