During a Weatherford Rotary Club meeting Wednesday, Josh VanDeburgh was sworn in as the club president for 2022- 23.

Stepping down from the position was Nate Downs, who completed his yearlong term as president in 2021-22.

“This year has gone by very quickly. Serving as the Rotary president has affected my life significantly and I am very grateful and humbled for the opportunity. I had a lot of fun this year getting to know the club and the members. I really think we have one of the finest groups of individuals, as a club, in the state,” Downs said.

VanDeburgh said he is excited to get to work as the new president.

“I have some goals in mind for the next year. COVID-19 changed everything and I want to get back to where we were before the events of COVID-19. Going forward we need to be very intentional about bringing people in and exposing them to Rotary. This is a very good organization and I was put on earth to be a servant and to take care of people and serve. I would love to entertain the idea of adding to what we have and diversifying,” VanDeburgh said.
