KEARNEY, Neb. —
Day in and day out, people strive for perfection: the perfect sunrise, the perfect song on the radio, even the perfect dessert to end your day.

It's highly sought after, but rarely achieved. Something that's only more rare out on the diamond.
For Kearney Runza's Scout Simmons, he achieved perfection Sunday in the team's win against Brandon Valley, South Dakota, as Simmons retired all 21 batters he faced, finishing with nine strikeouts.
Simmons even drove in the game's only run in a 1-0 win for Runza.
