BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Two people are charged in the shooting of a 15-year-old.

The shooting happened on June 29 in the Morell Todd Housing Community in the 4500 block of 8th Terrace North around 8:30 p.m.

The suspects have been identified as Omar Smith and Martez Jefferson. Both are 19.

Smith and Jefferson are charged with two counts of Discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and Attempted murder.

Smith’s bond is set at $300,000. Jefferson’s bond is set at $750,000.

Authorities are trying to identify a third suspect, seen in the picture below.

Officers say the victim was transported to Children’s of Alabama in a private vehicle. The victim’s injuries are reported as life-threatening.

A family member has set up a GoFundMe account.
