Republican Tom DeVore to Face Incumbent Attorney General Kwame Raoul

Tom DeVore won the Republican nomination for Illinois Attorney General. He looks to replace incumbent Democrat Kwame Raoul who is seeking reelection.

DeVore, an attorney, has been behind several lawsuits against the state over mask and other COVID-19 mandates.

DeVore defeated attorneys Steve Kim and David Shestoaks with about 44% of the vote.

While the governor’s COVID-19 mandates inspired him to run for office, he’s also been critical of Raoul saying he’s done whatever the governor has asked for.
