RICHLAND COUNTY—At approximately 6:15 PM this evening, an infant was the subject of an amber alert out of Richland County. Trusted sources have told Crawford County Now that this is baby number five for Mandy Jaymes, 38. According to sources, Jaymes’ fourth child was born at home in a bathtub because Jaymes struggles with addiction.

It is believed that Jaymes does not have custody of any of her five children.

The Mansfield Division of Police released the following statement:

The Mansfield Division of Police had issued an Amber Alert for “Baby” Partin earlier this evening. She is approximately ten days old and was believed to be in the custody of her mother, Mandy Jaymes, W/F/38.

This particular case was unique in the fact that the child had not been abducted but rather was possibly in need of urgent medical attention.

Since her birth, Baby Partin had never seen or had a medical assessment as the child was birthed at her mother’s residence.

At approximately 8:30 PM, Baby Partin and Mandy Jaymes were located in the area of Interstate 71 and Us. Rt. 30.

Baby Partin has been released to Richland County Children’s Services, and Mandy is currently in custody pending further investigation.

It was the hard work and dedication between the Mansfield Police Department’s patrol section, detective section, communications center, the Ashland County Sheriff’s department, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol that a brought a quick resolution.
