Motorcycle rider, 22, killed in crash with tow truck in Hamilton County

A 22-year-old man died after a crash involving a motorcycle and tow truck on U.S. 31 in Hamilton County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.  

The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. near the intersection of southbound U.S. 31 and 226th Street. Braden Fesler, of Colfax, was the driver of the motorcycle involved in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.  

A witness told investigators the motorcycle passed a vehicle at a high rate of speed then collided with the back side of the tow truck, according to the sheriff’s office.
