The report of a small child playing in a roadway has led to the arrest of three people in Glasgow on drug and other charges.

On Monday, the Glasgow Police Department responded to Bryan Street on a report of a child playing in the road. Upon arriving, officers made contact with the child and located where the child lived, according to police. Officers also confirmed the child’s father, Drew Sims, 27, had warrants for his arrest.

While speaking with Sims, police detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the home. Officers requested consent to search the residence but were denied, authorities said. Police then obtained a search warrant for the property and located Oxycodone, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the residence where the child lives.

Police arrested Sims and charged him with two counts of possession of a control substance (methamphetamine, drug unspecified), first-degree wanton endangerment, prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was Felicia G. Hunter, 36, of Glasgow, who was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

James C. Keeton. 31, of Glasgow, was additionally arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

All three suspects were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. Only Sims remains incarcerated.
