IT IS CALLED THE FIELD OF FLAGS. THERE ARE 25 FLAGS ON DISPLAY AT HARVEST CHURCH BUT THEY EXPECT 185 BY THE END OF THE WEEK. THE NONPROFIT END OF WATCH FUND IS BEHIND THE DISPLAY. >> ABOUT HALF OF OUR SPONSORSHIPS ARE FOLKS THAT ARE REMEMBERING SOMEBODY THAT WAS LOST IN THE LINE OF DUTY. A FIREFIGHTER OR POLICE OFFICER OR A MILITARY SERVICE MEMBER KILLED IN ACTION COULD GATHER HALF OF THE FLAGS ARE FOLKS SHOWING THEIR SUPPORT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRE OR THE MILITARY. AT THE END OF THE WEEK, WILL BE OUT HERE UNTIL THE EVENING OF THE FOURTH OF JULY. A tribute in Elk Grove is honoring local fallen first responders and members of the military leading up to the Fourth of July.The Field of Flags is on display at Harvest Church in Elk Grove. The nonprofit organization End of Watch Fund is behind the display. Each flag is sponsored by someone, in honor of law enforcement and military personnel."About half of our sponsorships are folks that are remembering somebody that was lost in the line of duty, a firefighter, or police officer or a military service member that was killed in action," said Casey Robinson, with the End of Watch Fund.
