Susan Stockwell-Asay, 65

Susan Stockwell-Asay, 65, left this earthly realm suddenly on May 25, 2022. There will be a memorial service held on July 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hope Congregational Church in Bayard, Nebraska, with Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at Bayard Cemetery, followed by a memorial luncheon.

Susan was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on July 7, 1956, the daughter of the late James Stockwell and Shirley Stockwell. She is survived by her longtime partner, Macario Lujan, and her two children, Stacy Asay and Clinton Asay. She is also survived by her two brothers, Brad (Susan) Stockwell, and Scott (Gail) Stockwell. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jason Bradley Asay.

Anyone who knew Susan can attest to her infectious laughter, her wonderfully irreverent sense of humor, and her tendency to tell you exactly what was on her mind. She was one of a kind and will be forever in our hearts and minds.
