Fireworks show planned for Monday near the airport

Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fireworks show is Monday, July 4, around 9:15 p.m. The fireworks will be set off in the same location as last year — near the airport just southeast of town.

 

Baptist church to host July 4 meal, games

First Baptist Church’s parking lot at 1000 E. Johnson St. will be the place to be for food and fun Monday, July 4. A hot dog meal will be served from 6-8 p.m., and a variety of carnival games and a water zone will be set up for kids. Stick around to watch Holyoke’s fireworks show when the sun goes down. The event also includes giveaways and free glow necklaces/bracelets. Freewill donations will go to Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department.

 

Youth invited to fruit pizza event at park

Youth age 5-18 years are invited to enjoy fruit pizzas in the park at an event hosted by Colorado State University Extension agent Jessie Stewart on Wednesday, July 6, from 1-3 p.m. at Homesteaders Park. Register by calling 970-854-3616.

 

Enterprise sets early deadline

In observance of Independence Day, the Enterprise will be closed Monday, July 4. The deadline for the July 6 edition is Friday, July 1, at noon for display ads and legals and at 5 p.m. for classified ads.

 

Volunteers sought for Rafert harvest

Due to Lennie Rafert’s recovery from an accident, friends are looking for volunteers to help with his wheat harvest, which could tentatively start July 7. For more info, call Aaron Worley at 970-520-4900.
