Tony Ressler and the Atlanta Hawks promised to make moves this offseason and they have officially delivered. The Atlanta Hawks made waves across the NBA by acquiring All-Star shooting guard Dejounte Murray in a trade with the San Antonio Supurs.

The 25-year-old earned his first career All-Star nod last season with averages of 21.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game. He immediately figures to come in and be the primary second option for Trae Young that the Hawks have been yearning for.

News of the Hawks' interest was initially reported in the buildup to last Thursday's NBA Draft but quickly died off on Thursday. There had reportedly been interest between the two clubs dating back to last February's trade deadline.

Other interested teams included the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ultimately, this is the slam dunk that the Hawks were hoping for.
