Harold J. Finck, age 83 of Carson, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck, ND.

The funeral service for Harold was held at 10:00 a.m. MT Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Assembly of God Church in Elgin. Pastor Vernon Finck officiated with burial in the Emmaus Congregational Cemetery northwest of Carson. The Funeral Service

Serving as casketbearers were Dean Diehl, Jim Rodgers, Nathan Rodgers, Randy Tietz, Britain Bentz, and Jim Lobeck.

HAROLD JAMES FINCK was born on November 15, 1938, in Elgin, ND to Elmer Curtis and Emilie Helen (Scheerer) Finck. He grew up in Heil where he started school. He moved with his parents to a farm west of Carson in 1946 and attended school in Carson.

Harold began his love of farming at a young age. He farmed next to his dad until his parents’ passing. Harold never left the farm. When his parents’ health began to decline, he cared for both of them until their passing.

When Harold’s health began to fail a few years ago, he was able to live in his home with his beloved cat Misty with the help of his family. He loved the farm life and driving the country side in his brown pickup. He loved going to the café and visiting friends and neighbors and enjoyed his many telephone conversations with them.

Harold loved collecting toy tractors. He loved Gospel music and sang for many occasions. He served on the church board for many years. He was fond of jewelry. He cherished the time spent with his nieces and nephews and their families.

Surviving family members include his sister and brother-in-law, Nyla and Gary Tietz, New Leipzig, ND; brother and sister-in-law, Rev Vernon and Janice Finck, Carson, ND; nieces and nephews and their families, Lisa Glasspoole, White Bear Lake, MN; Tana (Jim) Lobeck, Britain (Ranee), Kaden, and Brogan; Mandan, ND: Randy (Rebecca) Tietz, Peyton and Presley; Coon Rapids, MN; Dary (Anna) Finck and Kinza, Lake Stevens, WA; Rashae Finck, Colorado Springs, CO; Lani Finck, Aurora, CO.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation was held one hour prior to services at the Assembly of God Church in Elgin.
