Investigation continues into Sunday shooting death of Fayetteville man at his home

The investigation continued Wednesday into a fatal shooting Sunday afternoon in the 1600 block of Veanna Drive. 

Douglas O'Neill Mangum, 30, was shot and killed at his home shortly after noon, police said. 

According to Sgt. Jeremy Glass, investigators are pursuing multiple leads in the case. The shooting was not random, police said. 

Officers were called to the home at 12:17 p.m. on a reported shooting. There they found Mangum without a pulse, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, according to the release. He was taken to the hospital and died from his injuries.

Mangum's killing is the 21st homicide investigation for the Fayetteville Police Department this year.
