A 22-year-old man is now facing charges after police say he stole 4,300 rounds of rifle ammunition over two days at the Blaine's Farm & Fleet in Cedar Falls.
Black Hawk County Dispatch received a call on June 28, 2022 at 4:46pm that two men stole approximately 1300 rounds of .223 caliber rifle ammunition and then fled the store.
The following day officers were called back to the Farm & Fleet with a report that one of the men had returned and was in the ammunition aisle.
Jalen Malik Seals was taken into custody without incident.
He has been charged in connection with the theft of approximately 4300 rounds of .223 caliber rifle ammunition over two days.
Seals has been arrested for the following:
- Felon in control of firearms and/or ammunition (2 counts, D Felony)
- Theft in the 2nd Degree (D Felony)
- Theft in the 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor)
The case is still being investigated, and additional charges are pending
