Barnesville Man on Probation Found Trespassing in Garage in Mahanoy City

A Barnesville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for trespassing after being recently released from prison and on probation.

According to Mahanoy City Police Chief Thomas Rentschler, on Wednesday morning, around 7:00am, he received information about a person in a garage in the 200 Block of East Centre Street.  Chief Rentschler said he is familiar with the property and has knowledge that the owners did not grant permission for anyone to be inside.

When he arrived, a person looked out the door, then went back inside.

Upon walking inside, he found Isiah Kechula, 23, of Barnesville, who said he got permission from "old man Dave" to be inside.

Chief Rentschler confirmed with the actual owner of the property that he was not allowed inside.

Kechula was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah, on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.  He was remanded to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail.

Kechula had just been released from prison within the last 5 days and was on probation.
