Robert Harold Bradley Sr., passed away in Atkinson, Nebraska on June 11, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife, his children, and their spouses.
Robert was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Robert Earl and Annie Bradley. He lost his father at a very early age and Annie was remarried to Rodney Brown. Rodney Brown raised Robert and all the Bradley children as if they were his own and quickly became Dad.
Robert attended and completed school in Goodland, Kansas. While living in the Goodland, Kansas area he went on a blind date where he met Connie Ann Clabaugh, and their love story began. They were married on Aug. 6, 1977 and spent the next 45 years loving each other, and the family that grew from their love. Together, they enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. Robert and Connie have three children and six grandchildren that they adore and love spending time with and spoiling.
They moved to the Atkinson area while their children were young and lived there for 18 years. They raised their children there and made many happy family memories before moving to Imperial in 2006. During the 16 years they lived in Imperial, Robert and Connie were blessed with six energetic grandkids. Robert was a great Dad and he absolutely loved being a Grandpa.
Robert was an extremely hardworking and stoic man. He loved his family and did everything he could to provide for them and give them a good life. Robert spent most of his life working with horses, beef cattle, and hogs. In his younger years, he even did bronc riding, team roping, and broke horses. While Robert had always enjoyed working with cattle and had worked hard his whole life, he found a job he truly enjoyed while driving a feed truck at the Imperial Beef feed yard. Shortly after moving to Imperial, he started working at Imperial Beef. He spent 15 years there and would still be working there today if his declining health hadn’t resulted in his retirement in March.
Robert and Connie had always planned to return to Atkinson after they retired. They moved back to Atkinson in early June, and Robert spent the last days of his life in the area where they raised their family together. He left this world surrounded by the family he loved and worked so hard for. Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother and he will be greatly missed.
