Another earthquake shook the South Carolina Midlands Thursday morning, after several quakes on Wednesday, according to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division.
SCEMD reported a 2.4 magnitude quake near Lugoff at 12:23 a.m. Thursday.
On Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey recorded two quakes around 7:22 p.m.
One was a magnitude of 1.79. It was detected 4.3 miles southwest of Lugoff.
The other quake was a magnitude of 1.46. It was detected 3.7 miles east of Elgin.
The USGS recorded a quake at 7:03 p.m. with a magnitude of 3.4.
It was detected 1.8 miles east of Elgin.
An earthquake at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday was felt across several counties Wednesday near Columbia, according to USGS.
The USGS recorded the quake as a magnitude of 3.5. It was centered 3 miles east of Elgin.
Shortly after the earthquake, several people reported feeling shaking from the Lake Murray area to Sumter County, according to the USGS website.
So far, there are no reports of major damage.
