RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - A Ripley County judge sentenced a Holton man to 65 years in prison Wednesday for killing his girlfriend. That was the sentence a jury recommended for Jordan Knudson.

Knudson shot Kristina Jones while she was at a friend's house in March 2021. She had been staying there because she was afraid of Knudson. She had filed a protective order against him.

Judge Ryan King cited evidence of escalating domestic violence, Knudson's past criminal history, and his violation of a protective order she filed against him in deciding to give Knudson the maximum sentence.
