Police investigating fatal crash involving car and motorcycle in Glenburn

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Route 15 in Glenburn on Tuesday night.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened near the Village Variety Store around 9 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and an automobile.

Police say 61-year-old Andrew Adams of Glenburn was behind the wheel of his motorcycle when a car heading in the opposite direction turned in to the store, in front of the motorcycle.

Adams was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the car, 40-year-old Jonathan Hendre of Hudson, and his two passengers, were not injured.

Police are still investigating the crash and asking anyone with information to give them a call.
