Independence Day is just around the corner! That means barbecues, parades, fireworks and jubilant celebrations will be taking place all across the Northstate.

REDDING — FREEDOM FESTIVAL & FIREWORKS
Redding's Fourth of July celebration will take place at the Redding Civic Auditorium. The City of Redding says the FREE event will feature live music, food and family fun.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m. on July 4, with fireworks scheduled to start at 10 p.m.

CHICO — SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY FIREWORKS SHOW
The Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico is putting on a July 4 fireworks display after a series of winged 360 sprint car races. According to the Speedway, attendees should expect to see "fireworks on and off the track during this special night of racing."
Event ticket prices range from $10 to $20, but the event is FREE for children under the age of 12 and people with current military ID.
The front grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m., racing will begin at 6 p.m., and the fireworks show will take place after the races are complete.

EUREKA — EUREKA'S FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL
A festival is set to take place in historic Old Town Eureka to celebrate Independence Day.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will span five blocks along Second Street. It will feature live music, food, crafts, kids activities and much more.
Fireworks are planned to take place over Humboldt Bay at 10 p.m.

MOUNT SHASTA — MOUNT SHASTA'S FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Mount Shasta will be celebrating the Fourth starting on Friday.
From July 1 through July 4, downtown Mount Shasta will be putting on street fairs, live music, dancing and various other festivities.
Independence Day itself will feature a Fun Run & Walk and Fourth of July parade. Fireworks will take place over Lake Siskiyou at dusk.

CRESCENT CITY — FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL & FIREWORKS
Crescent City is boasting the "largest fireworks show and Fourth of July festival in Northern California," according to Visit Del Norte County.
Fireworks start at dusk and will reportedly be visible from all beaches in Crescent City. July Fourth will also feature a fun run, live music, food, beer, arts and crafts, vendors, and a parade!

WEAVERVILLE — WEAVERVILLE LIONS CLUB'S 2022 FOURTH OF JULY
The Weaverville Lions Club has filled the upcoming days with all sorts of festivities.
Starting on June 30 and going through July 4, the town of Weaverville will play host to a wide range of fun activities, including a Rotary Parade, softball tournament, destruction derby, and barbeque tri-tip & chicken dinner.

ANDERSON — ANDERSON EXPLODES
The City of Anderson and Community for Anderson Explodes will once again be hosting Anderson's July 3 fireworks show.
It takes place at the Shasta District Fair & Event Center and will go from 7 to 10:30 p.m. The event, which will feature live music from Northstate native and country artist Jared Hovis, is FREE, but parking will cost attendees $5.

FORTUNA — FORTUNA FIREWORKS FESTIVAL
Fortuna is celebrating Independence Day a little early this year.
On July 3, locals can expect a whole host of fun activities: a barbeque, music, children's activities, and fireworks, just to name a few.
The barbeque and children's activities both begin at 5:30 p.m., with fireworks launching at dusk. $5 donations are requested, and $5 wristbands give kids unlimited access to the day's fun. The barbeque will also cost money, with adult plates being $10 and child plates being $5.

CHESTER — PARADE, FUN RUN, AND FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
Chester loves to go all-out when it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July, and this year is no exception.
The small lakeside community's Independence Day festivities include a 9 a.m. fun run down Chester's Main Street, a craft fair at Chester Park, a parade down Chester's Main Street at 11 a.m., and fireworks show over Lake Almanor at 9 p.m.
This year, the theme of Chester's Fourth of July parade, as approved by their Chamber Board, is "Heroes Among Us," dedicated to the "first responders who worked tirelessly during the 2021 Dixie Fire."

RED BLUFF — TEHAMA COUNTY FIREWORKS COMMITTEE
According to the Tehama County Fireworks Committee Facebook page, a big fireworks show is planned for Red Bluff this year. The Committee says they have been selling fireworks outside of the Red Bluff Home Depot to raise money for the event.
The Facebook page indicates that the Committee plans to launch fireworks over the Sacramento River, but no time or location has been posted as of now.
OROVILLE — FOURTH OF JULY
From July 2 through 4, the City of Oroville has lots of Independence Day events scheduled for the local community.
Almost everyone should be able to find something to enjoy. There will be band and chorus performances, a sunset river drift, an ice cream social, a Fourth of July fly-in and, of course, fireworks!

Note that the Oroville fireworks show, which is put on by the Rotary Club of Oroville and scheduled for 30 minutes after sunset, may be canceled if a Red Flag warning is put into effect.
ARCATA — FOURTH OF JULY MINI FESTIVAL
The Arcata Chamber of Commerce won't be putting on the town's typical Fourth of July Jubilee, but many fun events are still planned for local families to participate in.
Games, crafts, hula hoops, bubbles, and a kid-friendly DJ will all be found on the Arcata Main Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4.

BURNEY — BURNEY BASIN DAYS
From July 4 through July 6, Burney Basin Days is coming back to the Northstate with lots of community events.
The community calendar for Big Valley and nearby areas is reporting that Burney will be hosting a parade, VFW Hall barbeque, Lions Club breakfast, and fireworks!

LOS MOLINOS — FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
Los Molinos is putting on a Fourth of July Parade set for the morning of July 4 at 10 a.m. The theme of this year's parade is "Hurray for the Red, White, & Blue."
The parade is set to start at the VFW Hall on Sherwood Boulevard. Expect to see horses, classic cars, decorated floats, and marching units.
