Stabbing in Chesterfield leaves one woman dead, two juveniles injured

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are still investigating a stabbing in Chesterfield on Wednesday afternoon that left one woman dead and two juveniles injured.

At approximately 12:25 p.m. on June 29, officers responded to the scene of a reported stabbing at a residence on the 10200 block of Iron Mill Road.

According to a statement from Chesterfield Police, officers arrived at the residence to find a woman, identified as 39-year-old Bonnie S. Hobson, of Chesterfield, with life-threatening injuries and two juveniles with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers also found the suspect, identified as an adult male, at the scene and took him into custody, the statement read.

Hobson was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries. Police said in their statement that all three victims knew the suspect, who remains in custody and is awaiting charges.

There does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the community.
