All the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College students who attended the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Chicago, June 24-27, won an award, finishing in the top 10 in all but two categories in which they competed.  The three top finishers also received cash prizes as part of their awards.

Top 10 finishers included Drew Garner and Nick Schena from the Harrison County Campus and John Hermes, Christian Whatley, Austin Lowry, and Cheyenne Necaise from the Perkinston Campus.

Hermes and Whatley won first place in Network Design; Garner, third place in Management Concepts; Schena, fourth place in Personal Finance, ninth place in Project Management, and tenth place in Programming Concepts; Necaise, sixth place in Future Business Educator; and Lowry, eighth place in Networking Concepts.

Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest business career and technical student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps more than 230,000 members prepare for careers in business.  During the national conference, students not only compete in categories covering a wide range of skills, they also attend leadership workshops geared toward personal and professional growth.
