How did Knox County vote Tuesday? Here are results for each race
GALESBURG — The results are in for Knox County and Galesburg 2022 primary election.
FEDERAL
U.S Senate
The unopposed Tammy Duckworth won the Democratic primary for U.S senate with 2,415 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Kathy Salvi won the Republican primary for the U.S senate seat. Salvi won 582 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
An earlier version of this story showed that Peggy Hubbard had won the Republican primary for the U.S senate seat.
Salvi will face off against Duckworth in the Nov. 8 general election after winning the Republican primary from five other Republican candidates — Hubbard, Casey Chlebek, Robert Bobby Piton, Jimmy Lee Tillman II, Anthony W. Williams, and Matthew Dubiel.
STATE
Governor and Lieutenant Governor
JB Pritzker and Julian Stratton won the Democratic primary for governor and lieutenant governor with 2,132 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Their opponents in the Democratic primary, Beverly Miles and Karla Shaw, won 347 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Darren Bailey and Stephanie Trussel won the Republican primary for governor and lieutenant governor with 2,679 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Bailey and Trussel will face off against Pritzker and Stratton in the Nov. 8 general election after winning the Republican primary from five other teams.
Attorney General
The unopposed Kwame Raoul won the Democratic primary for attorney general with 2,253 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Thomas G. DeVore won the Republican primary for attorney general with 1,693 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating his opponents in the race Steve Kim and David Shestokas.
Secretary of State
Alexi Giannoulias won the Democratic primary for secretary of state with 1,224 votes in Galesburg and Knox County. Giannoulias won the primary from his opponents, David H. Moore, Anna M. Valencia and Sidney Moore.
Dan Brady won the Republican primary for secretary of state with 2,993 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating his opponent in the race John C. Milhiser.
State Comptroller
The unopposed Susana A. Mendoza won the Democratic primary for comptroller with 2,356 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Shannon L. Teresi won the Republican primary for comptroller with 3,648 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
State Treasurer
The unopposed Michael W. Frerichs won the Democratic primary for state treasurer with 2,294 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Tom Demmer won the Republican primary for state treasurer with 3678 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
CONGRESSIONAL
17th Congressional District Rep.
Eric Sorensen has won the Democratic primary to succeed U.S Rep. Cheri Bustos’s seat in the 17th Congressional District.
Eric Sorensen won a total of 1,344 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating his opponents in the race Angie Normoyle, Litesa Wallace, Marsha Williams, Jacqueline McGowan and Jonathan Logemann.
Esther Joy King has won the Republican primary to flip the congressional seat long held by Bustos from blue to red.
King won a total of 3,056 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating her opponent, Charles “Charlie” William Helmick, who won a total of 1,063 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Democratic State Central Committee
Pamela Davidson has won the Democratic primary for state central committeewoman. Davidson won 1,524 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating her opponents in the race Linda McNeely and Jehan Gordon-Booth.
Maurice A. West II has won the Democratic primary for state central committeeman. West won 1,410 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating his opponent in the race Virgil J. Mayberry.
LEGISLATIVE
State Senator 36th District
The unopposed Michael W. Halpin has won the Democratic primary for the Illinois Senate, District 36. Halpin won a total of 292 and 1,440 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Mike Thoms won the Republican primary for the Illinois Senate, District 36. Thoms won 457 and 911 votes in Galesburg and Knox County, defeating his opponent in the race Glen Evan Sr.
REPRESENTATIVE
Illinois Representative, 71st District
The unopposed Christopher Demink has won the Democratic primary for state representative in the general assembly for the newly drawn District 71. Demink won a total of 1,689 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
Dan Swanson has won the Republican primary for state representative in the general assembly for the newly drawn District 71.
Swanson won a total of 1,872 votes in Galesburg and Knox County. His opponent in the race, Matthew Rauschert, won 679 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.

County Clerk
The unopposed Tracy Thierry-Robertson won the Democratic primary for county clerk with 2,248 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Scott G. Erickson won the Republican primary for county clerk with 3,894 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
County Sheriff
James Robertson won the Democratic primary for Knox County Sheriff by 91 votes.
Robertson won a total of 1,218 votes in Galesburg and Knox County and his opponent, Doug Sampson, won a total of 1,127 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Jack Harlan has won the Republican primary for Knox County Sheriff with 3,791 votes.
County Treasurer
The unopposed Janet Windish won the Republican primary for county treasurer with 3,691 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Robin E. Davis won the Democratic primary for county treasurer with 2,307 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.

Superintendent of Schools
The unopposed Jodi Scott won the Republican Primary for regional superintendent of schools for Knox County. Scott won a total of 3,413 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.

Ninth Judicial Circuit Court Judge for Knox County
David M. Hansen took the most votes out of Knox County in the Democratic primary for Ninth Judicial Circuit Court Judge.
Hansen won a total of 1,762 votes in Galesburg and Knox County. His opponent, Jim Harrell, won a total of 663 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
The unopposed Republican Ken Hogan a total of 3,657 votes in Galesburg and Knox County.
