St. Mary’s CCW  Tracy Area Garden Tour to feature areas in and around Milroy

By Per Peterson

The St. Mary’s CCW-sponsored Tracy Area Gardens and Quilts Tour last year focused on Tracy. This year, the tour will head back out of town.

The seventh annual tour, which will take place from 2-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, will feature gardens in rural Tracy, Marshall and Milroy.

“There are only so many yards in Tracy, and we are ‘Tracy Area,’” said Gardens and Quilt Tour Committee member Elise Lanoue. “When we started, we went north of town — we had two places in town, I think, and then went north that year. We’ve been to the lake twice, we’ve been to Balaton. When we started this we wanted to go all four directions, and we’ve just had a terrible time finding anything to the east.”

This seems to have changed.

Garden Tour sites this year are Lori and Val Eberspacher; Jean and Don Schmidt; Wild Acres Park/George Lanoue family; Milroy City Park; Amy and Jamie Larsen; and Carole Snyder.
