Virginia Woman Injured in Buchanan County Crash Tuesday

A Virginia woman suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 10:20 Tuesday morning on I-29, two miles south of Faucett, as a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Chase City, Virginia resident Amy J. Schiffer headed southbound.
Troopers say Schiffer’s vehicle suffered mechanical issues, slowed, and ultimately got hit from behind by another southbound driver.
Schiffer’s vehicle went off the west side of the road, struck a guardrail, and came to a rest on the shoulder.
She suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosiac in Saint Joseph.
Authorities say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
