Murder Charge Filed In Deadly Fresno County Stabbing

(KMJ) A Bay Area man now faces homicide charges for allegedly stabbing a truck driver to death at a Fresno County gas station over the weekend.

Here are the details, as released by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office:

Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office have booked 21-year old Isaiah Harley of San Francisco into the Fresno County Jail. He faces a murder charge, which carries a bail amount of $1 million. The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed this charge with the court, along with an enhancement for use of a deadly weapon.

Around 7:30 am on June 25th, a report was made regarding an injured man in the parking lot of the EZ Trip Travel Center located at 44779 Lassen Avenue in Avenal. Officers and deputies with Avenal Police, the California Highway Patrol and Kings County Sheriff’s Office first arrived on scene and discovered a man with stab wounds who had died in the parking lot.

He has been identified as 51 year old Jose Madeira of Hesperia, CA (SanBernardino County).

The man determined to be the suspect, Isaiah Harley, remained at the fuel station and officers detained him. The stabbing is being considered a random attack.
