St. Joseph police are investigating the possible drug overdose of a 20-year-old St. Joseph woman arrested on a possession of drugs charge.
Police report Lacey Fanning displayed signs of a medical condition after being booked into custody this past weekend. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but later died.
The St. Joseph Police Department reports the case is being investigated as a drug overdose. The department is waiting for autopsy and toxicology results.
