Ottumwa police are investigating a shooting that took place in a city park on Tuesday.
Police say they were called to East Main and Brick Row around 4:24 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a man who was bleeding from his head and neck.
Responding officers found 20-year-old Jose Rosalio Hernandez with injuries at that location.
Shortly after, around 4:27 p.m., police were called to the Ottumwa Regional Health Center Emergency Room on a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was identified as 18-year-old Anibar Timothy.
Both men were treated and released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later found out the two men had been involved in a larger altercation that took place inside Foster Park between two groups of people.
No arrests have been made yet in the case.
