Randy Coggins didn’t have a middle name, because he didn’t need one. He passed from this world to the next June 28, 2022. We all sincerely hope Heaven was ready, we kept him as long as we could.

Legendary at football in his day he passed the love of the game to many of his progeny. He was a master painter, carpenter, and general fixer of all things. An avid hunter, if it was the season, he’d be stalking Angel Bucks at this very moment. We are all content, however, in the knowledge that he’s sitting on some celestial river bank with a bobber in the water and at the very least one large thermos of coffee at his side. He will likely be fishing with his parents who preceded him in death.

Randy passed peacefully surrounded by his family and friends. He leaves behind two brothers, one sister, friends who he thought of as brothers, one ex-wife, but longest love, three sons, three daughters, several nephews and 20 to 30 grandchildren (at last count).

We will all think of him every time we drop a coin in a one-armed bandit, cast a line, set our aim or make something with our hands.

He shared his love of nature with all of us and the sound advice to always appreciate what we have when we have it. We have certainly appreciated every moment of the wild ride that was his life. He loved and was loved and we will miss him greatly.

Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
