TRNGYI TO SILENCE THE SIREN. BEHIND ME IS A SIREN THAT GOES OFFLM AT EVERY DAY AT NOON AND ABOUT 50 YARDS AWAY A COUPLE SAYS THATOUND S IS TAKING A TOLL ON THEIR HEALTH. IT PETRIFIES ME. I WAIT FOR IT EVERY DAY. AND I WATCH THE CLOCK WHEN LESLIE BOAG MOVED TO THIS HOME ALMOST 20 YEARS AGO. THE SIREN WAS NOT HERE. SHE SAYS IT WAS ANNOYING WHEN THE HORN WAS FIRST INSTALL. ACROSS THE STREET FROM HER USHOE, BUT NOW SHE SAYS IT’S TAKING A TOLL ON HER HEAHLT AND CAUSING HER ANXIETY LUCAS TESTS THE EMERGENCY ALARM AT NOON, WHICHLSO A SERVE ASS A TIME CHECK FOR THE COMMUNITY, BUT A LAWSUIT FILED TSHI MONTH DEMANDS THE CITY LIMIT WHEN THE SIREN IS TESTED FOROW N BAGEL CLOSES THE WINDOWS AND PLUGS HER EARS EVERY DAY AS NOON APPROACHES. IT’S NOT FAIR. I DON’T THINK ANYBODY WOULD DO ITO T TIRHE MOTHER OR ANYONE FAMILY. MY KIDS DON’T EVEN LIKE COMING OVER. A lawsuit filed against an Iowa community for its tornado siren has been dismissed.A couple in Lucas said the daily siren that blares right across the street from their home led to emotional turmoil and physical illness.Phillip and Leslie Bago bought their home on Division Street in Lucas in 2002. Sometime later, the warning siren was installed about 50 yards from their home.The lawsuit accused the city of Lucas and local leaders of trespass, negligence, nuisance and denial of right to procedural and substantive due process.The case was dismissed on Monday.Other news:
