Farm Block

A weekend festival to support the gift of music

A music festival on a family farm in Allouez makes its return this August.

Farm Block Music Festival is a fundraising event for The Dan Schmitt Gift of Music and Education Fund and includes a lineup of musicians from near and far. The festival was postponed and transitioned online over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic and returns in person in Allouez, Michigan from August 5th through the 7th.

The lineup includes local Marquette area musicians such as Blanco Suave and The Thirties, plus touring musicians like Turtledoves, Breathe Owl Breathe, The Go Rounds, and more.

The Go Rounds

Kurt spoke with Graham Parsons, vocalist for The Go Rounds, who also has a family connection to the family farm where Farm Block occurs:

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
