DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The cost of 4th of July celebrations in the Lakes Area this year have gone up.
The American Farm Bureau Federation says Independence Day cookouts will cost at least 17% more this year than they did a year ago. The average 4th of July get-together with 10 guests will cost nearly $70, an increase of close to $10 from last year.
Beef, chicken and potato salad have all seen prices increases due to inflation and supply chain issues.
