INDEPENDENCE DAY CAR PARADE FRIDAY FOR LOCAL SENIOR CITIZENS

The public is invited to help put on a Fourth of July celebration for Brenham’s senior living community.

An Independence Day Car Parade will be held on Friday, with participants meeting at the Brenham High School parking lot by 9:45 a.m.

Anyone taking part is encouraged to decorate their vehicle for the occasion, and there will be small flags available to wave from the windows.

Vehicles will set out on a parade route that includes Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, High Hope Care Center, Kruse Village, Argent Court, Focused Care and Silversage Assisted Living.  Residents will be outside in the shade, waiting for the parade.

The event is organized by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

KTEX-106’s Rip Rolling will be in the parade, in the KTEX Country Cruiser.
