Kinney Drugs offers Covid vaccinations for kids ages 3 and 4

Syracuse, N.Y. — Kinney Drugs is providing Covid vaccinations by appointment to children ages 3 and 4.

Parents can schedule appointments online.

Kinney said it will provide longer appointment times so kids have time to adjust and feel more comfortable.

The federal government recently recommended that all children 6 months through 5 years of age receive Covid vaccine. Children can receive either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.

Kinney said pharmacies are only authorized under federal law to vaccinate children ages 3 years and older for Covid.

Walgreens and Rite Aid are also offering appointments.

Kinney said vaccinations will be provided at these locations:

Syracuse: 4202 W. Genesee St. and 407 Butternut St.

Liverpool: 7608 Oswego Road

Bridgeport: 7998 Route 31

Auburn: 187 State St.

Cortland: 3666 NYS Route 281

Hamilton: 103 Utica St.
