BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) A deadly shooting near Buffalo's Delaware Park Tuesday evening. It happened shortly after 8pm.
Buffalo Police say a 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old man is currently in stable condition at ECMC. The two were riding dirt bikes westbound on Route 198 at the time when shots were fired from a nearby SUV that fled the scene.
Police are continuing their search for the suspect and SUV involved in the incident and there is video on the incident as well.
Tonawanda Fire Alert tweeted an image of the scene shortly after the shooting. It shows a group of people on the 198 with flashlights.
"This is an absolute heinous crime," said BPD Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia during a press briefing Wednesday afternoon. "We are going to work very diligently to get justice for the two victims."
