Injuries Reported In NJ Turnpike Tractor-Trailer Crash

There was a tractor-trailer crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in South Jersey, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 southbound near milepost 1.1 in Carneys Point Township.

There were no serious injuries, New Jersey State Police said.

Based on a preliminary investigation a tractor-trailer rear-ended another tractor-trailer stopped in traffic. The driver of one vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, State Police said.

There was an earlier crash on the northbound lanes of the Turnpike in Bellmawr involving a box truck. The driver was trapped but was not seriously hurt, police said.
