Report: Panthers' Anthony Duclair looking at potential surgery for Achilles tendon injury

After splitting the first six seasons of his NHL career between five franchises, Anthony Duclair signed with the Florida Panthers in December 2020. He was limited to 43 games during his first campaign with the Panthers in the pandemic-altered 2020-2021 season, but in 2021-2022, Duclair put up career-best numbers.

Duclair helped lead Florida to the best record in the league during the regular season with a career-high 31 goals, 27 assists and 58 points. He was second on the team in shooting percentage (18.6%,) third in goals and fourth in points.

The 26-year-old Duclair is reportedly facing a lengthy recovery from an Achilles injury, however.

The 2022-2023 NHL season is slated to begin in mid-October.
