Gf council welcomes two new members

Two new faces joined the Grand Forks council last night (Tuesday) during what was billed as an organizational meeting.

It also gave the council one last chance to say goodbye to departing members Katie Dachtler and Jeannie Mock – both who opted not to seek re-election.  Taking their place is Rebecca Osowski and Tricia Lunski in Wards 2 and 4 respectively.

During the meeting Dana Sande was elected president of the council on the nomination of member Danny Weigel.  “I like how Dana has put himself out there…addressing a lot of issues we have coming up.

Bret Weber will serve as vice-president on the nomination by Kyle Kvamme.  “One of the most important things we need on the council is different perspectives.”

Both positions received unanimous council support.
