Iowa Attorney General Refusing to Represent the State in Abortion Case

DES MOINES, IA – Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller has withdrawn his office from representing the state in a case which places the question of abortion regulations before the Iowa Supreme Court.
Miller said that his personal beliefs supporting abortion is in conflict with the State’s arguments for increased regulations.
Iowa law allows for the State to procure legal representation in the event the Attorney General is disqualified.
