On Tuesday, brackets came out in the state of Iowa for 3A state baseball, and for the 16-14 Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs, they are the three seed in substate 2, and will be hosting Winterset in the first round.

That game will be played on Friday, July 8th at 7 pm, and will renew a series that has historically been dominated by the Mustangs, including picking up a 4-0 victory back in May.

The winner of that game will play the winner of ADM vs. Algona, with that matchup to be played on Monday, July 11th. The championship game for the substate will be on Wednesday, July 13th, with that to be played at 7 pm. The top seed in the district is Webster City.

DCG was able to reach the state semifinals in 2020, and will be hoping to find a way back to the state tournament this year.
