Small earthquake reported near Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
The United States Geological Survey reported a small earthquake happened early Tuesday morning on the east side of Hendersonville.

The 2.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded about 4:12 a.m. near Barker Heights, about 2 miles east of Hendersonville, at a depth of about 5 miles.
No damage was reported.
Another quake shook the Weaverville area early Saturday morning.
Last month, USGS reported at least three earthquakes in Catawba County, North Carolina, ranging from 1.8 in magnitude to 2.2.
